Liminal State is a semi-abstract comic about drowning in grief and post-partum anxiety/trauma at the same time. It’s based on my own experiences in 2016, when my beloved father died after a monthlong coma and I had my first child via traumatic birth, all within the same year.
Liminal State won a 2019 Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (MICE) Mini-Grant, where it also made its debut. It is also being reprinted in four parts on Mutha Magazine.
